2010 Cheapeake C.R.A.F.T. (Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training) Program
Commencing Wednesday, April 14, 2010
The Local Food Project at Airlie, working together with the Accokeek Foundation & a thriving network of local farms and farmers, is excited to launch the
2010 Chesapeake CRAFT program, for farmers/interns/apprentices & others wishing to advance their practical understanding of diverse approaches to ecological small farming in and around the DC Metro Area.
Modeled after other CRAFT programs in the United States ,
Chesapeake CRAFT will consist of monthly on-farm classes and tours of eco farms in Virginia and Maryland.
Chesapeake CRAFT is an excellent opportunity to enrich on-farm learning and regional networking amongst small farms and emerging food producers. The first class is scheduled for Wednesday, April 14, at Mountain View Farm in Purcellville , Virginia . For more information on the 2010 Chesapeake CRAFT program, and how to join, please visit:
