‘Project Launch’ is a great opportunity for recent graduates of the ‘Exploring the Small Farm Dream’ course, as well as others interested in launching a new food project, whether in the backyard or on the small farm. Modeled after the ‘Explorer’ course format, ‘Project Launch’ is a special, one-time workshop event that will feature a panel presentation with guest farmers and food producers, group discussions and evaluative exercises, and networking opportunities with other small farm explorers. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to share updates on their own small farm projects.

Our panel of ‘Project Launch’ guest presenters include: Harvey Ussery (The Modern Homestead , Hume , Virginia , www.themodernhomestead.us ), Jesse & Elizabeth Straight (Pastured Poultry, Warrenton , Virginia ), & Stacey Carlberg (The Farm at Sunnyside, Little Washington , Virginia ). Our presenters will discuss their own journeys in food production, current endeavors, and helpful resources for the aspiring farmer & homesteader.
