Hosting the Small Farm Dream: Is It Right for You?
A 2-session course on creative farm partnerships for landowners
March 11 and 25, 2009
6:30 – 9 p.m.
Airlie Institute
Cost: $90
Are you a landowner exploring ways to best utilize your land? “Hosting the Small Farm Dream” will help you explore your land’s farming potential and bridge the gap between ideas and action.
Through creative exercises, class discussions, and research activities, you’ll develop a better understanding of your land’s characteristics and your own goals. Presentations from local farm/landowner partners will help you become more familiar with potential farm lease options and create an arrangement that works for you.
During an optional networking session on April 2 from 6:30 – 9 p.m., you’ll have the chance to meet emerging farmers looking for land, talk with current farmers and landowners, and connect with helpful resource people from the community.
