Small Space, High Yield Gardens Workshop and Celebration

July 2, 2009
6-8 p.m.
Local Food Project at Airlie Garden
Cost: $20 (including refreshments and light fare)

Turn your small yard, shared plot, or sunny balcony into a bountiful vegetable garden with tips from this favorite LFP workshop. You’ll find out how to get the most out of a small space by learning proven methods and strategies for intensive gardening. Check out our 9x14 foot “Parking Space” garden and get motivated to start double-digging for increased soil quality. And learn techniques used in our 700 square foot "Family Garden," which mimics a backyard setting.

Whether you’re a city dweller, a suburban gardener, or just someone who wants to start small, you won’t want to miss this fun and informative workshop.

To register, contact Brynn Slate at bslate@airlie.org or 540-347-1300, ext. 3163. Payment will be accepted on the day of the workshop, cash or check made out to Airlie Foundation.
